Safe Place: New York Times Opinion (2023)

Jerod Draper, a southern Indiana resident, endured a fatal night of torture after being arrested at a traffic stop. Jerod’s mother took comfort that evening, thinking her son had been taken to a safe place when they arrested him. She was wrong. Just under 20 minutes long, this documentary weaves together dash cam footage, jail recordings, public deposition videos, and interviews with Jarod’s family.
